Medford, OR – According to the police officials, investigators developed 43-year-old Richard Kemo John Hall as a person of interest in Mather’s death during the course of the homicide investigation.

The investigators learned that Hall may have been camping in the area where Mather’s body was found.

According to the police officials, the suspect was walking on foot along the Greenway north of Railroad Park shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He tried to run away, but officers caught up with him after a short chase on foot.

They arrested him on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Appear on an original Trespassing charge while continuing the murder investigation. He was interviewed the same day, and lodged in jail on the warrant.

He was charged with Murder and Abuse of a Corpse in the Second Degree on the evening of April 1. He is being held in the Jackson County Jail without bail.
