Astoria, OR – The Astoria Parks & Recreation announced that maintenance work was carried out at Maritime Memorial in preparation for an upcoming Memorial Day ceremony.
According to the department, exterior cleaning and pressure washing was completed at the site ahead of the Uniontown Association’s Memorial Day ceremony scheduled for May 25 at 3 p.m.
Officials noted that the work was intended to help ensure the memorial area is ready for visitors and participants attending the annual remembrance event.
The ceremony is expected to take place at Maritime Memorial in Astoria.
