Veneta Authorities Search for Suspect in Connection with Multiple Burglaries

VENETA, Ore. – Authorities are continuing their search for a 33-year-old Veneta man believed to be involved in a series of burglaries that took place in the area last October, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO).

The suspect, identified as Charles Guy Younkin-Stec, is wanted for his alleged role in burglaries at a restaurant, a home, and a market during a two-week period in October 2024. The LCSO had previously named Younkin-Stec as a suspect in connection with the crimes, leading to the execution of a search warrant at his trailer located in the 88300 block of Ridiculous Road.

During the search, deputies uncovered evidence linking Younkin-Stec to multiple burglaries, including a theft of more than $10,000 worth of items from Crow High School. Authorities also discovered evidence in Linn County that connected him to a residential burglary earlier in the summer of 2024.

Younkin-Stec’s alleged involvement in the crimes follows the arrest of another suspect, 30-year-old Austin James Blaylock. Blaylock was arrested after search warrants were executed on two homes linked to him in the Veneta area, where deputies found evidence tying him to the burglaries. He currently faces multiple charges, including two counts of first-degree burglary, four counts of second-degree burglary, five counts of first-degree theft, and other related charges. Blaylock remains in custody at the Lane County Jail.

However, despite their efforts, authorities have been unable to locate Younkin-Stec, as local associates have reportedly been uncooperative in helping deputies track him down. The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information on Younkin-Stec’s whereabouts to contact them at 541-682-4141.

The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information related to the suspect’s involvement in the series of crimes.
