Astoria, OR – According to the city officials, the area of the current landslide encompasses roughly 3 acres.
It is located at 27th Street between Irving Avenue and Grand Avenue.
27th Street is a short city street that serves 8 properties.
Landslide became active Saturday, January 27.
Due to the movement of earth, it has damaged 27th Street making it impassable.
Utilities serving this area, both gas and water, have been shutoff as a precautionary measure.
Additionally, Public Works has closed Grand Avenue to local traffic only at the intersection of 31st Street and Grand Avenue.
