Astoria, OR – According to the officials, operating hours will be:
- Tuesdays and Thursdays: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Oregon DMV officials also said that the Sandy office closed May 31, 2022 along with five other DMV offices around the state due to staffing shortages.
After recruiting, hiring and training new employees, we can now resume serving customers at Sandy, the last office to re-open after the May 2022 closures.
DMV has experienced the same shortage of applicants for job openings as other major employers statewide and nationwide.
As a result, we were forced to temporarily close some DMV offices or limit days or service hours.
Even with re-opening the Sandy office, DMV customers should consider conducting their transactions online.
