SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A Springfield man was arrested on Saturday night after allegedly stabbing his daughter’s boyfriend, authorities report.
According to the Springfield Police Department, officers responded to McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center around 11:17 a.m. on February 15, following reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers discovered the 27-year-old victim had suffered severe lacerations to his lip, face, and arm. Police also noted that the victim’s two front teeth were broken and partially missing.
An investigation led police to identify 49-year-old Bryan Whitecloud as the suspect. Authorities say Whitecloud attempted to barricade himself inside his daughter’s residence on Mill Street when officers arrived at the scene. However, officers were able to de-escalate the situation and arrest Whitecloud without further incident.
