Astoria, OR – Astoria Parks and Recreation crews spent part of the day cleaning up Fred Lindstrom Park following Independence Day celebrations, where they discovered a trash can that had been heavily damaged overnight.
According to the department, staff arrived at the park to clean up after the holiday festivities and found what remained of the park’s trash can.
Officials thanked the Astoria Fire Department for responding quickly to the incident and assisting at the scene.
The city did not release additional details about what caused the damage or whether anyone was injured.
