LEBANON, Ore. — A 24-year-old man was arrested late Saturday night after an assault in Lebanon left a victim with severe facial injuries, prompting a hospital visit. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on April 12 in the 800 block of South 12th Street.

Upon arrival, officers from the Lebanon Police Department discovered an unconscious male victim, who had sustained significant facial injuries. Emergency responders from the Lebanon Fire Department provided immediate care at the scene before transporting the victim to Lebanon Community Hospital for further medical treatment.

During the investigation, authorities identified Troy Steven Williamson as the suspect in the assault. Williamson, a Lebanon resident with prior interactions with law enforcement, was taken into custody without further incident. He was charged with Assault in the Second Degree and booked into the Linn County Jail.

The Lebanon Police Department noted that while Williamson had been in contact with officers in the past, there were no previous incidents linked to the current charge. Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains ongoing, and they are seeking additional information from the public.

Anyone with knowledge related to the incident is encouraged to reach out to Officer Wyatt Belknap at (541) 258-4313 or Sergeant Chris Miner at (541) 258-4314.

As the investigation continues, authorities are working to gather more details surrounding the motive for the assault.
