Clackamas, OR — The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident in the parking lot of Clackamas Town Center on Friday afternoon, December 20, 2024. The incident prompted a swift response from law enforcement and emergency personnel.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., authorities were alerted to the shooting at the popular shopping destination, which is located just south of Portland. The Sheriff’s Office quickly arrived on the scene, along with medical teams, to assist those involved. No immediate details were provided regarding the number of victims, their conditions, or potential suspects.

Witnesses reported seeing law enforcement officials and emergency responders cordoning off the area as the investigation unfolded. Authorities have not yet released any information on the circumstances leading up to the shooting or whether the incident was related to any ongoing disputes or criminal activity.

The Clackamas Town Center, a major retail hub in the region, remained open during the investigation, though some areas of the parking lot were temporarily closed off to the public. Shoppers and nearby residents were urged to avoid the area while law enforcement worked to secure and process the scene.

As of the latest update, the Sheriff’s Office has not made any arrests and continues to gather information to piece together what led to the shooting. Investigators are expected to review surveillance footage and speak with witnesses in the coming days.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.

This story is developing, and more details will be provided as the investigation continues.
