CROW, Ore. — Authorities are investigating after a body was discovered late Friday morning at Gates Cemetery, located south of the rural community of Crow in Lane County.
Just after 11 a.m. on April 25, residents in the area contacted law enforcement after reportedly finding a deceased individual on the cemetery property. Lane County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to the scene shortly afterward.
In a statement released later that day, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the discovery but noted that the identity of the deceased is being withheld pending further investigation and notification of next of kin.
No additional details about the circumstances surrounding the death have been released at this time.
