LEBANON, Ore. – A 23-year-old man was arrested late Saturday night after an assault that left another man unconscious and severely injured. The incident occurred on April 12 around 11:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of South 12th Street, according to the Lebanon Police Department.

Responding officers arrived at the scene to find the victim unresponsive with significant facial injuries. Lebanon Fire Department medics were quickly on-site to provide first aid before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been disclosed.

Through their investigation, police identified Troy Steven Williamson, 23, as the suspect in the assault. Authorities reported that Williamson was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. While police indicated that they had previously had contact with Williamson, it was unrelated to the current case.

The investigation into the assault is still ongoing. The Lebanon Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Officer Wyatt Belknap at 541-258-4313 or Sergeant Chris Miner at 541-258-4314.

As the investigation continues, police urge the public to come forward with any relevant information that could assist in the case.
