EUGENE, Ore. — A man is currently undergoing surgery at Riverbend Hospital following a shooting in West Eugene early Monday morning.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) responded to reports of the incident at approximately 4:00 a.m. on February 17th, in the 27000 block of West 11th Avenue. Authorities have not released the identity of the victim or details regarding the circumstances of the shooting.
LCSO officials confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the community and that all parties involved in the incident have been spoken to. However, the investigation remains active, and further information will be shared as it becomes available.
At this time, authorities are withholding additional details, and the investigation continues as they work to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
