PORTLAND, Ore. — Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a pedestrian seriously injured on Tuesday evening. The crash occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Powell Boulevard and Southeast 84th Avenue.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, the driver involved in the collision fled the scene before officers arrived. The pedestrian, a woman, was found with serious injuries and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where she remains in serious condition.
As police continue to investigate the crash, Southeast Powell Boulevard has been closed between Southeast 82nd Avenue and Southeast 86th Avenue to allow for a thorough examination of the scene.
