Portland, OR – Portland police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Wednesday morning at the Quality Inn motel, located in the 8200 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard. The incident marks the second deadly shooting at this location in the past two weeks, raising concerns about rising violence in the area.

Officers responded to the scene early Wednesday, securing the parking lot with police tape and setting up a mobile command center. Several police vehicles were also seen in the area as investigators worked to gather information and piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

Though authorities have not yet released details about the victim or the circumstances surrounding the incident, the shooting follows a similar tragedy at the same motel just two weeks ago, when another man was killed in a separate shooting in the parking lot.

This latest incident is part of an ongoing pattern of violence that has plagued parts of Portland in recent months. As police continue to investigate, the community remains on edge, with many concerned about the safety of public spaces in the city. The Portland Police Bureau has not confirmed whether the two shootings are connected.

The investigation is still in its early stages, and police have urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
