Gunshots Fired at Tesla Dealership in Tigard, Oregon; FBI Investigating Series of Vandalism Incidents

Portland, Ore. — Police in Tigard, Oregon, are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning at a local Tesla dealership. Authorities are working with the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) to uncover the details surrounding the attack, which left several vehicles damaged and windows shattered.

The shooting, which took place at approximately 1:46 a.m., caused significant property damage but fortunately no injuries. Surveillance footage from the dealership showed at least seven shots being fired, with the bullets striking three vehicles and breaking multiple windows. One bullet reportedly passed through an office wall and struck a computer monitor.

The Tesla dealership, located about 10 miles southwest of Portland, was unoccupied at the time of the incident. While no suspects have been identified, Tigard police are pursuing all leads as part of their investigation. Law enforcement officials have stressed the collaboration between local and federal agencies to ensure a comprehensive inquiry into the shooting.

“We are taking this incident very seriously, and we are committed to working with federal partners to bring those responsible to justice,” said a spokesperson for the Tigard Police Department. “We want to ensure that a thorough investigation is conducted.”

This shooting follows a string of similar incidents involving Tesla dealerships across the United States. Just a week earlier, federal prosecutors in Denver charged a woman for vandalizing a Tesla dealership in Colorado. The charges stemmed from an attack that involved Molotov cocktails being thrown at vehicles and the words “Nazi cars” spray-painted on the building. Additionally, earlier this month, police in Salem, Oregon, arrested a man after a pair of Molotov cocktail incidents targeting a Tesla dealership.

While authorities have yet to comment on whether there is any connection between the various acts of vandalism, the timing of these attacks has raised questions about potential motives and patterns. The investigation into the Tigard shooting is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Tesla has not made an official statement regarding the recent incidents but has expressed appreciation for the efforts of law enforcement agencies in resolving the matter.
