Astoria Fire Department holds badge pinning ceremony to celebrate new lieutenant promotion

Astoria, OR – The Astoria Fire Department recently held a badge pinning ceremony to celebrate Carlos Gomez as their newest lieutenant.

Although Lt. Gomez has been serving as the B-shift lieutenant since July 6, the formal recognition took place on Friday.

Gomez has been with the Astoria Fire Department for seven years and has earned his Fire Officer 1 and 2 certifications during his tenure.

The department expressed confidence that he will continue to serve with dedication in his new role.
