Astoria, OR – The Astoria Police Department in Oregon conducted its quarterly officer training session focused on maintaining state-required standards and updating core law enforcement skills.
According to the department, officers participated in a full day of instruction covering felony traffic stops, building searches, CPR, and first aid.
In addition to classroom and scenario-based training, officers also completed qualification exercises at the department’s range with both duty pistols and patrol rifles.
Officials said the ongoing quarterly training is part of routine requirements designed to ensure officers remain prepared for a range of emergency and tactical situations while serving the community.
