LEBANON, Ore. – A 23-year-old man is behind bars following an assault late Saturday night that left a victim unconscious and with severe facial injuries.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, officers responded to a call at approximately 11:45 p.m. on April 12 regarding a reported assault in the area of South 12th Street. Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement found a man who was unconscious and suffering from significant injuries to his face.
The victim was quickly attended to by medics from the Lebanon Fire Department, who administered first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity or details regarding his condition.
Through their investigation, officers were able to identify Troy Steven Williamson, 23, as the suspect in the assault. Williamson was arrested shortly thereafter and taken into custody at the Linn County Jail on charges of second-degree assault.
While Lebanon police confirmed they had previously had contact with Williamson, they stated that those encounters were unrelated to the assault.
