Astoria, OR – A Lebanon man has been arrested following an investigation into a shooting incident that occurred outside Duffy’s Bar on October 31, 2024. James Michael Nordahl, 36, was taken into custody on the morning of January 7, 2025, and is facing multiple charges, including Assault in the First Degree, two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Reckless Endangerment.

The incident unfolded just after 2:30 a.m. on Halloween night when a disturbance broke out inside Duffy’s Bar, located on East Sherman Street. According to the Lebanon Police Department, the altercation centered around a potential firearm in the possession of one of the patrons. In response to the situation, the bartender asked two individuals to leave the establishment.

Once outside the bar, a confrontation ensued between Nordahl and the two patrons who had been asked to leave. Police reports indicate that Nordahl admitted to retrieving a firearm from his vehicle and firing shots at the individuals involved in the dispute. Fortunately, no one was injured during the exchange.

Following a thorough investigation, which spanned several months, detectives arrested Nordahl in connection with the shooting. The Lebanon Police Department has not disclosed further details about the motive for the confrontation, but authorities emphasized that the charges were the result of careful examination of the events that transpired that night.

Nordahl remains in custody as of the latest update, and authorities have yet to comment on any potential court appearances or further developments in the case.
