Governor Tina Kotek announced that her Chief of Staff will be leaving her office effective March 29, 2024

Gov. Kotek announced that she will appoint Matthew Muenchrath to the Coos County Circuit Court

Astoria, OR – According to the state officials, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Public Administration, Chris Warner, has agreed to serve as acting Chief of Staff during the transition period.

The current Chief of Staff, Andrea Cooper, started as Governor Kotek’s Chief of Staff in November 2022 after serving former Governor Kate Brown as her Deputy Chief of Staff for two years.

Governor Kotek released the following statement:

“I thank Andrea for bringing her experience to help lead my office during a whirlwind transition in the first year of my administration.

We have all accomplished significant things for Oregonians, and she was instrumental in establishing a strong team of professionals. I wish her well in her future endeavors.”
