Astoria, OR – According to the state officials, the loop on-ramp is located at the southeast corner of the interchange, next to the northbound off-ramp and the Quality Inn motel.
All other ramps at Exit 125, including the straight northbound on-ramp for westbound Garden Valley Blvd. traffic, will remain open.
During the ramp closures, local motorists planning to travel north on Interstate 5 are advised to use alternate routes.
This work is part of a $2.4 million project that will improve safety and the flow of traffic at Exit 125 by adding a dedicated right-turn lane to the northbound off-ramp, replacing traffic signals and upgrading sidewalk ADA ramps.
Prime contractor Knife River Materials is scheduled to have all work completed this summer.
